About
I've always been interested in sports cars. When I was in high school my friend had a TVR Vixen that he let me drive. After all those years the impression \ experience of driving it was still with me. Upon reflection on being closer to retirement then not I decide to search for one to own.
I found this one for sale in Connecticut. It's a 1972 Vixen hybrid (1 of 96 built on the 2500M chassis). At the time of purchase, June of 2016, I would rate it a very good driver.
After driving it a few years on weekends, and the purchase of another (1971 Vixen), I decided it should be restored.
The level of restoration I want is beyond what I can can do, and in the time frame I'd like to have it done. Hence, we took it to Mark Brown (TVR specialist) in Canada.
This blog will be used to house the photos Mark is taking as he progresses with the restoration. The restoration will primarily be focused on the mechanicals. Budget permitting, we may do a body respray to the original Silver Fox.
